In the desolation

Owh life... why miserable?

=)

One thing at a time...  sure the muddle will fly..
May Allah always be with me... through my sorrow and glory..
Remain a worshiper is a must... not to be blind by all the lust and rust..
After all this mess make way... Even the sky is still in grey...
The color of rainbow will shine through my days...

Now, what Shakespeare have to say about that? ;P

Emotional breakdown

Those who knows me will remember me having few strong traits.
Among them (allowed me to self-confessed a.k.a syok sendiri here);
Emotional, Humorous, Easy-going, Friendly and Outspoken.
One particular trait among all these that has always becomes an issue in my life is me being emotional.

I don't response emotionally in all situations especially when others are the one having difficult situations and I'm just there to help out or listen. But most of the times I am being emotional when the problem is for me and only me to solve.

When I feel like there is no one around that I can rely or depends on to reduce my stress, to curb with the problem or merely to help me cheer up myself after a bad hair day. I will usually ended up crying outloud all by myself until I lose my breath, my eyes turn red and finally sleep all day long (that bad) until the crazy emotion go away (and sometimes it takes days).

The only thing that can help to shorten the process is when the people that I care, trust or love be there to care about me (by listening, asking me if I'm ok or not ect, try if not solved the whole issues that I'm facing). Problem is this particular person is not always ready mentally and emotionally to be there for me and therefore it multiply my crazy emotion that I currently possessed.

I know it sounds ridiculous for a 28 years old woman to be doing this. But hey looking at the bright side at least I'm not killing people or drinking just to passed off and forget all the rubbish.

Pheww! This is going to be a really long and boring post. I'm proceeding anyway since the objective of this post is self diagnose and reflection.

Therefore to counter my emotions breakdown that may happen at anytime after this I wish to outline few guidelines to myself and probably to those people having the same issues:
1. When it happens, I will distance myself for a while from the source of the stress or breakdown. Until I can probably divert half of the attention to another thing.
2. When it happens, I should quickly try to forgive those who have wronged me and upset me in any ways possible. After all they won't apologize to me, the only way that can help me to let go faster is by letting them go.
3. When it happens, and when things have chilled a bit, I should again try to divert the whole attention to something that I love doing (e.g. reading books, watching favorite tv series, swimming) or rewarding myself (for a spa session, with the best HEALTHY meal, a piece of nice dress or scarf). After all, I deserve this after I sacrificed my emotion and forgive all the people who might have caused this stress on me. ;-)
4. And the last one, I only need to remember the purpose of my creation by Allah s.w.t. is to serve him and only him. Those things or people around you are only either distraction or tools for you to complete this course.

And finally cheer-up smile and be happy again my dear self, because deep down inside this is who you really and who you want to be. =) Insyaallah.

Kota Kinabalu (Honeymoon Part 1)

First day in Kota Kinabalu (3/1/2012)

So here we are in Sabah. Since Sabah tends to get sunset about an hour earlier than Peninsular Malaysia, when we arrived at 7:15pm it was already dark. The representative from Divers Borneo, Alban has already waited for us at the airport. We are actually here for a diving course that we had planned long before I went to Aussie, but due to money constrain it was postponed.

Luckily when we were at Matta Fair held in PWTC last September we found this really good deal offered by a diving company (Diverse Borneo) from Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. Usually this diving license would cost you RM1400 per person which includes PADI open water certification, accommodation in some chalet and food during the course. However with this offer we only need to pay RM750 per person which include PADI Open Water Certification, accommodation at a 3 star hotel as well as breakfast and lunch during the course. Irresistible offered wasn’t it? The next stage we looked out for flight offers by Air Asia and managed to get return air ticket to Kota Kinabalu for about RM230 per person and that’s bring the total cost of diving to RM980 per person. It is still wayyyyy cheaper and super saver. Don't get me wrong, it still took us a year to raise the fund for this trip.

The whole course will take three days encompassed classroom session, confined water training and open water training. Since we arrived late evening and the course will only started the next morning we checked in to a budget hotel named A&J Hotel. A standard room cost us RM55, pretty good for our short night. After we checked in and paid deposit of RM20 we walked to Philipino Market that is just a minute stroll by foot. I have tested the seafood here when I came with parent in 2010, but husband missed it during his trip to KK in 2007. So at the end, we chose one stall and ordered ikan susu grill with butter prawn. Ikan susu was just RM17 and 3 pieces of butter prawn poked out RM20 from our pocket. I mean 3 pieces. Insanity. I think it used to be cheaper than this.

After the heavy dinner we walked to the hotel to rest for the day. The hotel wasn't too bad, the aircond was working just fine, the wireless internet worked so well and the room was just clean enough for me not to sort for other alternative. The only drawbacks were the compact tv was making a bit of noise, the limited spaces in the room as well as the cheap look that it has. But as my husband said you get what you paid for. So we keep our mouth shut and go to sleep early. We really look forward for our classroom lesson the next morning.

Honeyyymooonnnnnn here I come!

Balik keje hari ni penat dan tenat. Kaki so painfully bengkak. Badan tired. But hati and kepala riang ria hari raya. I am sleeping late tonight. Packing up for our honeymoon yang ditangguh sebulan setengah. Alhamdulillah, finally we can craft the initial love journey as husband and wife in a travel trip that I hope will be as sweet as cotton candy. Yummy! Where to...you'll find out soon enough!

2013 targets

Malam tadi lay down like usual doing bed talk ngan husband. Lately ni since dah start keje part time, bed and car are the only places that we can spend time sharing stories and exchanging opinions and what knot (!@# ;)). Semalam sementelaah pulak 31st December kitorang pun decided to draft out our aims and goals for 2013. And it came out to be something like this:

1. Solat lima waktu
2. Solat awal waktu
3. Tambahkan ilmu agama
4. Nak kurus!!!
5. Nak berpakaian soleh solehah
6. Syamimi nak jadi lecturer
7. Ahmad nak habiskan lima paper exam EASA
8. Nak ada small business sendiri
9. Nak beli rumah corner lot di Salak Tinggi
10. Nak lari 10km X 4 events

I know some of these tak sepatutnya jadi azam tahun baru untuk kami. Especially the top three. They are more like obligations to people, to us. Nonetheless, people need reminder somewhere along their bumpy journey. Apatah lagi insan lemah, kerdil 9tak sangatlah actually) dan jahil macam aku ni.. Isk..isk..isk..  I'm wishing this coming new year bring joys and only happy tears to me, husband, family, friends and all muslims. Aminnnn.....

Revision of 2012 wish list

Actually the different is just in number.

Me no exception. Cuma this time around for the sake of self assessment and recording my own key performing index (KPI) I am gonna start with the revision of my 2012 wish list. Barulah bole analisa sama ada wish list ni helpful or just one of those gibberish stuff that goes viral.

1. NaK KaWeN nGaN MaMaT Yg MeNcInTaIkU KeRaNa ALLAH
On 10 november 2012 I am married to a pretty guy. Pretty on my eye. I married him with the name of Allah and hopefully I get the same back.
Baju nikah ni up for rent yer ;)

2. NaK TuBuh BaDaN Yg FiT dN SiHaT
Yang ini masih lagi KIV and definitely again and again by default will be carried forward. I lost 7 and half kgs before the wedding.

But I can rest assure it was more than last year.

4. NaK JaDiK LeCtUrEr
Insyaallah... Attended two interviews. Tapi result masih belum keluar. May Allah bless me, I think this is the only career that I can be more than happy to spend my life on.

5. NaK AdA bUsiNeSs PlAn SeNdIrI
But I'm sure I can start with something small.

6. NaK MeRaNtAu TgK DuNiA dAn CiPtAAnNya (4/continents so far)
With some luck and blesses from the mighty serta rezeki rezeki terpijak saya telah berkesempatan menjejak kaki ke beberapa buah negara dalam dua tahun ni. Start with the recent one Australia (Benua Australia), Singapore (Benua Asia), Indonesia (Benua Asia), United States (Benua America) and Amsterdam (Benua Eropah). Tinggal Benua Africa dan Antartika lah. Yang mane mungkin tak pergi kot.
Times Square, New York

Statue of liberty

7. NaK GrAd DeNgAn ILmU PeNgEtAhUaN, SkIlLs, KeMaHiRaN dAn KeCeMeRlAnGaN (Graduated!!)
Alhamdulillah I own a master degree now. I certainly can feel the different in term of skills and knowledge but tak pasti sampai bila dapat disimpan sebab tak di praktikkan.

8. NaK AdA dUiT SiMpAnAn DaN PeLaBuRaN HaRi MuKa
Baki akaun RM190 hinggit je. Enough said.

9. NaK mEmILiKi TeMpAt BeRtEdUh SeNdIrI
Menyewa buat masa ni. Kire acilah tu kan. Started my own small family in a small cute house in Nilai. Carried forward nak own our (no more me but both of us) first house property.

10. NaK MaSuK hAlF MaRaThOn (DONE!!!)
Yerp. Canberra times Marathon is sweetest running event ever.

Those in bold dah selesai. Yang lain lain tu masih tak berganjak. Kali nampaknya separuh dari azam tu dah terlaksana. Kiranya KPI jatuh kepada lima puluh peratus. Oklah I passed. Tapi next year hopefully boleh dapat A plus plus. Sesetangah dari azam yang tak terlaksana tu akan dinyahkan dari list dan setengah lagi will be carried forward with some modification since sekarang berdua lebih baik katanya.

In my opinion having the wishlist ni memang helpful. Not only that kite boleh check from time to time what we have or have not achieve tapi at the same time it's a challenge to yourself to practice what you preach. So lets work for the new list!

Tips cari keja : Resume (CV)

I have been actively looking for job for about two months now. Surprisingly enough, I haven't been call to any interview yet. I could have easily apply up to 20 positions or more already? Therefore I gotta admit what I heard from friends before is actually true. It's getting harder to find a decent job in Malaysia.

However a call from UIAM few days back has assisted me in highlighting few areas of my mistakes that could have contribute to the said condition as well. I was invited to attend a Micro teaching interview for a lecturer/tutor in their PJ foundation campus. That would be the story for another post probably. The clerk who made the call pointed out that I had some detail missing from my CV.
And that is actually my name. Yes, you got it right the first time > MY NAME.

My god my lord. Learn from my mistakes and don't ever do this with regard to your CV at any point of time when you applying for a job. Be kind to yourself and save some face.
1. Obviously don't forget to put your name (or any other crucial details like contact information). Don't expect them to look out for your number in yellow pages or email you to ask for it. Never happen.
2. Never reforwarding resume from company to another company caused you might ended up sending cover letter addressed to Malaysian Airlines when you actually applying with Air Asia.
3. Don't do more than three pages. Make it simple and concise yet interesting. The CV should tell them why they should be hiring you. Like you are a sprinter and you do your job miraculously fast. Or you if you are applying for a chef position you can tell them that you can slices 40 onions in a minute.
4. Make sure you can answer the details on your resume intelligently. Example, details shown you have been out of job for six months. So what have you been doing? Please don't tell them that you just sit still at home at waiting for interview call. Not healthy!

Well yeah, it has been a tough day. Really need some rest. Good night pals!

Weight before wedding

With the combination of strictly nightmare diet, adequate exercise, teh orang kampung and pati halia mujarab I am 7 kgs down within 3 weeks before wedding. Not good enough but I take it as it is. =) Lose is still a lose. When it comes to losing weight and slim down I chose to be optimist at all time. Or at least at this point of time. ;)

Atkins (Can I five-teenkgs down before wedding?)

So here's I am again. Never give up on loosing weight. How much weight I wanna lose really? This could be my hundred attempt. I never actually failed any of it. I succeeded. In fact every single of it it just that I failed to reach the desired weight because I quit too soon. Hermm...

If all the weight that I had lost been total up together it will now be around 40 kgs? Yes I'm serious. I lost five kgs then add up another 8kgs. After that lost 10kgs and back 9 kgs. Really it's funny because if I had a stronger determination I should be super skinny now. Arghh..nonetheless. I'm giving this another shot people. Give up never me.

So here's the deal.. My wedding is coming in 30 days and I wanna lose at least five-teen kgs which will bring me down to 70kgs. Only 2 kgs short from my ideal weight sixty eight kgs. I started earlier this week, roughly 4 days ago and I had lost 2.2kgs so far. I have 12.8kgs to go. Grrr...why are we talking maths tonight? I don't  know. I just believe make your target or base clear will be helpful in this very challenging journey.

This time I'm going for Atkins again. The reason being, among all the diets that I have tried out so far it is proven that Atkins work much much faster than the rest. They are all good but Atkins work super fast. If we really discipline. Yeah I heard about all the bad things about Atkins. About how it will caused heard attack due to the over consumption of protein, how it rotten your bones but think again how is that gonna be any worst than you get heart attack from sticking to your old fattening diet and over consumption of fats, carbo and cholesterol? Pick the option to your liking, keep your mouth shut and lets make it work! =)

The last Half Marathon

It's almost six months since the last Half Marathon. I survived! Yiihaaa. I finished the 21km race within 3 hours and 1 minute. I know it should be below three hours, nonetheless I'm still proud of what I've done there. Insane, I know. Even now that I think about it again I'm not sure whether I can still do another shot of 21km or not. Unfortunately not in the mood to find that out soon either.

There are few things that I can still recall about the meaningful event. First, I started thinking of quitting when I reached 10km mark. Second, my feet were extreamly painful due to blisters and clash between fingers in the last 3km or so. Third, I was scolding myself for participating the half marathon recklessly in every steps that I took after five km mark. Fourth, the feeling that I got after crossing the finishing line was magical that I can't just simply describe by words. Fifth, my whole body burning like hell for about two to three days after the event. And lastly, I lost 2 kgs in two days after the event.

I'm wishing for this to happen again in the future. As for now, it seems that I have lost the courage to even run five km at home. Silly me. Now I'm back to one of my heaviest point in life at 8fivekgs. This body feels like tons and it's hard to stick to the exercise even that I have the best beast for that right in front of my eyes. Courtesy of my lovely Daddy. Wake up Mimi, be more responsible and committed tomorrow ok!

Life Great Run 2012 (12 km woman & man open)

Ok this was what bride and groom to be were up to a week before the big day.

Pheww..Luckily no injuries except tolerable blister here and there. It wasn't that hard to convince him to join me this time. Probably because he did promise me earlier on some other run that we missed by accident. Anyway it's good to find out that the person whom you gonna share your life with can share your hobby too..So now running is my hobby? Really? Haha just like Yuna the singer said dare to dream big because she is now living it.

After the last Half Marathon in April I would say this run wasn't too bad. More like casual walking or running than a struggle to finish to me this time around. Probably due to the shorter distance and having a companion by my side. He wasn't that bad either, although he seemed a bit struggle in the beginning he was actually the one who push me faster for the last 4 kms. Only after two weeks training. Good job mate! I was on Atkins throughout the run so a bit ran out of power towards the end by I survived.

Our unofficial time was around 1:57 minutes or so for this 12 km. Looking forward to the official one which will be out soon.

Get wasted

Honestly look at me now tak nampak macam orang yang nak getting married in two weeks or so. Lepak gila. This is what happen when you have the luxury of time. Nampak macam masa berlebih lebih walhal everytime single moment you wasted is actually money. Talking about my self precisely.

Now with all the power left I summon myself to do anything and everything beneficial only. There is actually so much more to do like clean my house inside out, think about simple dishes that can be serve during the solemnization, finish up goodies, exercise of course!, self pampered session, job seeking, and bla bla bla. I'm off on a mission now!

It seems like ages ago since I last wrote in my beloved Blogspot. Phew. Things happened in my life. To cut it short the following pictures gonna tell it all. I love how pictures speaks thousand words so that lazy ass like me don't have to type much.

Looking for a job that can pay the bills

And a while ago....

Cooking Popeye's secret powerdish

Well yeah now that I'm back to have speedy internet and luxury of time I feel like writing again. I started to regret the fact that I didn't manage to write many posts as some of them really contained important information like trips' tips and all. Like just now, when fiancee was looking for a car rental numbers that I used when I were in Kota Kinabalu with family, I feel so bad that I don't have them with me.

I keep telling fiancee about how nice the owner of the car and how cheap and convenience their services were and dang now I didn't even keep a single record on how I got in touch with them. I know for sure that I did plan to wrote it down here and also other interesting details about my wonderful KK trip last year. Well let the past be by past and here's some link on KK's car rental that I have found after some brisk research:
1. http://telukvila.blogspot.com/2012/04/sewa-kereta-kota-kinabalu-2012.html
2. http://www.zaratechtravel.com/#axzz29AqJMMgB
3. http://www.car-rental-sabah.com/?p=self
4. http://www.kkrentacar.com/

Well take a look. Their rates are affordable to my opinion. You can find rates started with RM80 for kancil and if you want a more powerful car u can opted to pay more.

Bear in mind here, never ever rent a car in the airport although you can find car rental agencies in most airport in Malaysia nowadays. While they're undeniably much reliable in term of avoiding fraud, their charges are a lot more expensive. Trust me! And that's why it is important to get to know the car rental from a friend's testimonials. You might save up to RM200 for your trip. Unfortunately I didn't keep it. Grrrr...

Oh well, it is different situation of car rental if it's in Aussie. Renting the car in the airport itself is much more effective and the rates are not gonna be much different. Yes they're going to charge you with the premium location fees but picking up the car and return it back at the airport will not only save you a lot of time but also some cash for airport transfer, taxi or bus to your hotel, or the next destination.

And for those who planning to go to KK, enjoy your trip! It surely a wonderful city, and just like what others will tell u, don't forget to shower yourself with the seafood!!

Apakan daya hidup perlu diteruskan. Cuma mungkin perlu banyak belajar lillahita’ala. Daripada buat sesuatu kerana kasihkan manusia, buatlah sesuatu kerana kasihkan Allah. Sebab manusia tu sifatnya hamba, penuh ujian adakalanya alpa, tewas dan mengecewakan. Tapi Allah, janjinya pasti.

Penang Bridge International Marathon

Nothing beats the glory of having a warm midnight shower, a cup of coffee and a successful of long time persuasion. These three things, ignited my worry soul for a moment. XD

Good news, I manage to convince someone to join me for my next Half Marathon, Insyaallah. Trust me, I'm not addicted to running yet I just do this for some reasons again. Besides, I'm terribly missing the feeling of crossing the finishing line and it's even better that this time I have someone to run with! It will be a local venue since I'll be back soon. ;D Yes, soon!
Masa kurus sikit sekejap dulu..Owh wanna be there again.

So yeah, Penang Bridge International Marathon (PBIM) here we come! For those who interested on the same course, here's a link for ya (let me know if you signed up so that we can probably arrange a group run or just hanging around Penang if u like):

Few interesting summary on this coming PBIM; It is held every year and one of the routes include running across the Penang bridge. Event usually started early like 2 a.m. in the morning and finish right about the dawn (depending on your running speed of course). This is the only time when Penang Bridge is close to any motorist just so that you can run without any disruption. How cool is that right? 18 November 2012 (SUNDAY) is the chosen date this year. So waiting no more, let's sign up and get your running shoes worn out! Dah macam Public Relations officer untuk PBIM pulak kan. Memang over the top. -_-' (abaikan saya, tolong..)
The most recent plum me tengok Penguin Manja at Sea World Gold Coast

As for my current weight still within 70's. But I won't reveal as I gain few Kgs since the last Marathon and let's put the blame on the pressure of study. But hey, I used to be 80s++. I know I have been doing the right thing to still be in the 70s and that's why I'll keep moving! Wish me luck.

Siapa lucky?

Sincerely from my heart, I don't want to be the one who is lucky.
I want YOU to be lucky too..
I need to remember this by heart.
Don't just feel good that you're lucky to have good and nice peoples around you.
That won't be the case forever if you don't make them feel lucky to have you around too. :D

How things change in my life

Came across some interesting bloggers who are very passionate in baking. I felt so overwhelming by their credibility to craft the cakes, and baked muffins. Now I started to see baking and cooking as sexy~. I shall enhance my skills in order to be one! Yerp, once I'm done with all these papers. How on earth that I get this interest-Allah knows best. I never like kitchen before.

I realized many of my preferences in life changed significantly/exponentially with my age. I'm not too sure whether this is a common case to everyone or it's just me. Even though, most of these changes will not impact me in a very negative way some are really worth to be monitored.

Color
I used to love blue and black a lot as a teenage but tend to neglect those colors now. I realize my heart fall easily for bright red, purple and pink (never like this color before) now! I still hate yellow though (my bad fengshui color).

Ambition
I wanted to be a very successful carrier woman before. You know appear in newspaper once or twice in a year for outstanding achievement and credibility. But all I want now is....jeng jeng jeng.. to be a housewife! Like seriously kan?? Hahaha..Tapi tak possible lah kan. I have to pay back all the tax payer money with sweat and blood. For 6 years at least. And maybe being a full time housewife will not suits me best. Nanti jadik cam orang gila yang extra suspicious yang soal selidik kegiatan husband tiap2 kali balik keja. So I better get my own life. Still, my direction now is toward a job that is not so demanding so that I will be able to be a part time housewife. XD

Guy
I stated this before. Used to wish for a guy that is tall, dark and handsome (typical girls' criteria). Used to think fair guy looks so Jambu. But now a slightly fair one definitely catch my eyes. Can't get my eyes off him =P. Never know that I will fall for a silent, quiet guy also. But yeah, it happened. Tapi after a while, no one on earth is that silent right. It just the matter of whether they ready or not to show their taring. I've seen it.

Interest
I read book non-stop when I was in primary school until form 3? Most books were borrowed and some bought by my mom. But now even I claimed that I still love books like a lottttttttttttttt I have to admit I bought book more than I read them. Aside from that, I used to have no idea about sport and kept wondering why people tortured themselves on the field. Why do they run that fast when they just granted with a stupid medal and extreme tiredness. But I ran a Marathon 2 months back and started to enjoy exercising. See how things are shuffling!

But of course there are many more that are still the same. After all too much changes can be unhealthy too I guess. I still savor good foods, love talking, enjoy writing, watching movies and sleeping, having bad time management and believing in ridiculous dreams. =D And I still have the same Big Heart - I hope.

I miss both of u so much. Hope this is not a sign that I'm going to see you guys, I'm not ready yet, I need some more time.

Teka-teki carik pasal

Things u should value - Family & Life

Alhamdulillah. Family came. I enjoyed every moment of this family trip. Praise to Allah the one who made it possible. My very first reason why I chose to study in Australia because it was the nearest option to Malaysia, yet having significantly different demographic and will be the best bet for me to bring along my family. I am forever grateful. Couldn't ask for more. And wouldn't trade this for anything in the world. One tiny regret, my sister and bro in law wasn't able to make it with us since she was having exam. :( Tp takper she's getting two amazing things in her life now. She's definitely happy too.

Moving on, yesterday was the toughest day of the semester. I handed over my very last assignment(hopefully-wishing i'm not repeating any of the courses) in this master program four days late with 20% penalty. How awesome is that kan? But still no regret. I have been chasing for good grade & marks all my academic life (whether I got it or not is totally different story :P) but as I grow older I tend to realize compromising things that are way more meaningful in your life was a silly move.

I'm not saying that we should throw away all the books and skip classes for the sake of having fun time in your life abroad. As a student (especially when u use people's money to study) I do have the obligation to the tax payers and government to learn things from here and contribute back once I graduated. But rather than good grade I would favor exceptional knowledge and skills as well as ability to maintain healthy social life and all valuable relationships that you have - one of it family. It's good if you can have everything together but if they are constraint, you need to use your wise judgement.

I made not so brilliant moves when I was doing my bachelor degree. I studied quite crazily, cried some days and nights. Worked my ass of for money when sometimes I didn't really need it and I didn't even remember how I ended up using it. While all I wanted on that time was actually to make my mom and dad happy. Thinking that good grade and money (to reduce their burden of funding me and sometimes to pay for the car) were the things that will make them happy. Yes they were but just part of it. There are so many other things like being with them, show your respect, and not to worry them with your problems.

Aghhh..this is not suppose to be a long boring emotional post. I'm just gonna stop here, and work for another two exam papers that are around the corner. I can't wait to be back, I miss home badly, I miss seafood bagan lalang, I miss nasi goreng ikan masin, I miss sambal belacan, I miss durian, I miss family (after all the foods ;P), I miss my fiancee and I miss all my deary friends and all of their cute babies! ='( Will be back, SOON!

Why marriage didn't work (Perihal Suami Isteri Soleh Solehah)

Kenapa term 'isteri solehah' selalu digembar-gemburkan??
Jadi isu yang sangat sensasi. Rasanya hampir semua orang dah tahu betapa pentingnya nak jadi isteri solehah ni. Kalau kau tak solehah, you're as good as anak derhaka. And your place probably neraka (that rhymes! Yippie~).
Kata orangkan syurga bawah tapak kaki suami lepas kahwin.
I'm sure almost every lady wanted to be isteri solehah and trying hard for it.

Then I had a conversation with my walking buddy Olivia about marriage. I was mumbling to her on how some of my friends seem unhappy after they get married. And that worry me a lot on the path that I'm heading towards now. As young as she is, her perspective tempted me an it stays on my mind until now: "Marriage is like most teamwork. It should work coherently as long as both parties have the same mission and work towards it".

That make sense. Bayangkan dalam kerja kumpulan. SELALUNYA dan SEPATUTNYA adalah lebih senang daripada kerja individu. Sebab;
> Ada lebih banyak idea dari lebih banyak kepala
> Ada skills dan kemahiran yang lebih pelbagai dalam team members
> Ada each other nak support time ups and downs

Cuma ada beberapa sebab teamwork can be more sucks than individual work. Uneven commitment from each team members (sleeping partner and the sort), very bad leadership (or worst no leader at all in the team!) and conflicts of interest among team members (having different goals and expectation on the work).

Similarly, these three are among the reasons why marriage can't work. Sepatutnya dah kahwin lebih senang. Disregard the fact you are having kids for a while. You and your husband taking care of each other should be an ideal situation. Lelaki tak pandai masak, yerp bini masakkan. Bini tak pandai pomen kete, ha laki leh baiki (or hantar bengkel ;p). Suami rajin basuh baju bini terrer lipat kain. Sorang terrer bercakap sorang terrer bertumbuk (xkisah lah yang mane satu laki or bini).

Sorang pandai bawak keta sorang rajin tengok peta. Sorang suka shopping and berjalan sorang lagi pandai dan rajin carik duit. See patutnya kurang masalah kan. But as I said, 3 faktor yg aku rasa jadi punca adalah komitmen yang tak sama rata dari kedua belah pihak, kepimpinan yang lemah dalam rumah tangga dan objektif yang dimiliki tak sama.

Sebut pasal komitmen cuba bayangkan kalau dah kahwin pun semua benda laki ko nak buat sendiri; masak, basuh baju, kemas rumah dan carik duit - lebih baik xpyah kahwin kan? Lelaki pulak same je. Sumai dan isteri sama2 keja tapi kau nak diharap layan cam raja tahu2 balik rumah dah kemas, nasik dah masak, baju dah basuh, jemur dan lipat, pinggan dah cuci dan pergi pasar - kau patutnya kahwin dengan robot ok??. Seharusnya masing-masing kena timbang rasa.

Dan in most condition secara fizikalnya wanita ni lagi lemah so apsal ko tak buat lebih sikit or at least tolak ansur?

Dan last sekali yang saya or aku paling suka nak bincangkan. Of courselah kedua-duanya nak rumah tangga yang bahagia kan. Tapi mission kat sini merujuk pada yang lebih spesifik or individual tapi dalam masa yang sama penting untuk teamwork or marriage ni. Like for example isteri seumur hidup teringin nak jadik isteri solehah tapi suaminyer kahwin asal siap je takderlah hati nak berusaha jadik suami soleh.

Itu memang terang2 akan konflik. Dan in other scenario suami nak jadik soleh dan isteri pun nak jadik solehah tapi ini still tak cukup. Kenapa? Sebab isteri nak jadik isteri solehah tapi dia tak pernah usaha supaya suaminya pun dapat jadik suami soleh macam yang suaminya idamkan. Dan suami pulak nak jadik suami soleh tapi tak bantu isterinya nak jadik isteri solehah. So kiranya kat sini misi masing2 masih lagi berlainan.

So memang sampai bila2 ko tak boleh nak capai title isteri solehah tu.

Like for example layanan ko kat suami, jaga rumah, jaga anak semua dah ok tapi kau masak memang tak pandai, tak pernah sedap so selalulah kena makan dan beli kat luar.

Tapi bini kau xpaham belanja boros sana sini mintak nafkah tak pernah cukup-cukup. So ini memayahkan kau nak jadik suami soleh sebab mungkin ko akan mengabaikan agama sebab nak carik duit sangat siang malam pagi petang or mungkin ko akhirnya pilih sumber rezeki yang xhalal.

Ni mungkin contoh-contoh yang agak hyperball sikit tapi actually apply to all situations. Be it small or huge.

So kalau ikut rekod larian masa training kalau lari campur jalan kaki 40 minit boleh sampai.

Sampai kat Telopea Park tu dalam 6:30 pagi, dah ramai orang dah pun lalu rasa macam awkward sikit (banyak actually sebab sayakan pemalu. dang!). Memang tak nampok ler muka2 gelap cam teman ni. Semua cerah-cerah. Adalah sana sini sikit pak itam. Disebabkan kene start lari lambat lagi pukul 7am so saya ronda-ronda kawasan. Mula-mula peri cari pin nak lekatkan bib number kat baju. Not suprising, tak susah mana pun nak jadi citizen.
Awkward2x...

Buang jangan tak buang..

Lepas tu pusing-pusing ambik gambor keliling kawasan. Sepanjang Marathon trek tu pun banyak.
Harta karun para peserta
Para peserta

Selain tu diorang sediakan tempat untuk pelari-pelari tinggalkan barangan-barangan berharga (baggage area). Tapi cam bese depa dah bagi disclaimer no valuable property should be left behind as all care will be taken but no responsibility on damage or missing items (baik tak yah kan?) But actually as an organiser disclaimer ni memang penting. Cara-cara nak transfer risk kat pesertalah. Bukan diorang taknak jaga langsung tapi selamat diri awal-awal dulu in case of anything unpredicted terjadi kan.

And tak berapa lama lepas tu they call out for peserta-peserta untuk ke garisan. Entah kenapa hati ni tak pulak rasa berdebar sepanjang sampai tadi. Rasa segan je banyak. macam semua orang tengok kat saya sebab saya sorang pakai tudung baju lengan panjang siap (entah-entah perasan je). Menyampah! Segan punya pasal, stretching ngan warming up pun melayang entah ke mana. Haha. Sekali dia tembak suh lari saya pun lari. Memang blurrr... Lari punya lari satgi pikir "eh, bila nak jalan ni, kaki dah lenguh" hahahaha. Seriously, mase training biasanya start jalan-jalan itik dulu bila dah panas baru lari beberapa minit then jalan balik. Tapi disebabkan pengaruh orang-orang sekeliling ni aku pun duk lari tak ingatnya. Dah masuk 5km ha, baru insaf and go slow.

Sepanjang larian tu pemandangan memang cantik-cantik. Berat jugalah membawa kamera ni sambil berlari tapi nak buat macam mane awk kan sebatang kara, sape nak tolong simpankan. isk..isk..isk..

Sepanjang lari tu entah berapa puluh ribu orang potong pun saya pun tak tau. Tapi after that rasa macam km2 seterusnya tu laju pulak sampai so bertahan ajerlah. Actually berkat pada training nak dekat sebulan jantung quite ok sepanjang larian ni cuma kaki yang agak tak tahan. Maklumlah badan masih berat. Kesian pada kaki ni. Nak kata penat tu tidak cuma kaki terasa sakit dan sengal dah so tak berani nak push sangat. Takut injury pada lutut or joints. Nak pakai lama lagi kan. Sepanjang jalan tu semua contestants dengan audiences kat tepi-tepi track very supportive. Smiling, tepuk tangan dan bagi kata-kata semangat even to stranger like me! =D Happppppyyy!
"first time? doing good!,"
"Well done girl"
"good job, it's not that far anymore,"
Sangat touch ok, nak berhenti lari pun malu (malu tak habis-habis kan).
Medal comel merangkap medal larianku yang pertama. Love the color and the carving.

By the way alhamdulillah sampai juga 21.1km tu dengan catatan masa 3:00:5 saat. 5 saat je terlebih dari target yang diinggini. Inilah natijahnya sebab tak pakai jam tapi ada hati nak target time best2. Lari nak lepak2 pulak. Walau apapun teramat happy. Sangat manis walau ada kelat sikit. After lari diorang bagi refreshment sikit. Fruit bar yang sangat tak sedap. Memang menjamu tong sampah le jawabnya.
Inilah refreshment yang disediakan (acah mak enon!)

Fruit bar yang tak sedap ni baru betul

As a finisher dapat certificate dan medal yang sangat cute ni. Lovely, buah tangan paling berharga bila meninggalkan Canberra nanti. My very 1st Half Marathon and may it not be the last one.
